Since opening in 1998, Barbacoa has been perfecting what it means to be a successful,
local burrito joint.  Now, we are offering you an opportunity to own your local burrito joint.

Please read the following FAQs to see if it is a good fit for you.

1. How many locations can I open?

There is no limit to how many you can open; however, all franchisees must open a minimum of 3 locations in their geographic territory.

2. What will be my initial investment?

The total investment necessary to begin operation of a single Barbacoa Mexican Grill franchise ranges from approximately $188,000 to $467,000.  This includes a $20,000 initial franchise fee that must be paid to the franchisor.

3. How much are the royalty and marketing fees?

Franchisees pay a royalty equal to 6% of their gross revenues.  We do not require the
payment of a marketing fee because we want our franchisees to make marketing
decisions on a local basis (with our support).

4. What initial training will I receive?

You, and your manager(s) will each receive at least 100 hours of initial training in our training restaurant located in Utah.  Your training will include working at a real store, serving real customers, with real employees.

5.  Do you help me select locations?

Yes, we will help identify and select each of your restaurants.  We will utilize our knowledge and experience to approve each of your restaurant locations.

6.  What assistance will I receive for opening my initial restaurants?

Besides having two of your own Barbacoa certified managers, we will
send an operations supervisor to assist in the opening of your initial restaurants for a minimum of two weeks.

7. After I open my restaurant, what support will I receive?

We will continually send our operations experts to your restaurants in an effort to help you improve service, operations, and profitability.  You will have 24/7 support using our franchisee hotline, as well as direct access to our Vice President of Franchising to answer any and all questions you might have about running your restaurants.

8. How long until I can open my first store?

As fast as you would like!  However, it typically takes about six months before
you are serving burritos.

9. Is financing available?

No.  You must meet our financial qualifications.
